What would you do if you encountered 75 bison while traveling on Yellowstone’s Grand Loop Road? (YouTube)

YELLOWSTONE NATIONAL PARK — Bison are amazing creatures that should always be appreciated from a distance. The National Park Service recommends you always stay at least 25 yards away at all times, and always be aware of the animals’ behavior.
The perils of close proximity to bison were reinforced recently when a man was gored near Old Faithful in Yellowstone.
So, I was intrigued to see this video of a cyclist cruising past a large herd of bison.
According to the video’s description, the cyclist is a 27-year-old named Caleb Dvorak. He encountered 75 bison while traveling on Yellowstone’s Grand Loop Road.
What would you do in a situation like this? Would you continue riding along the road, as Dvorak did? Or would you scramble as far off the road as possible in order to give more space to the bison?
